This documentary drama tells the stories of community members and families whose children survived the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut on December 14, 2012. UWL had the great honor of staging the first-ever production of the show. Director Mary Leonard asked if it was possible to increase the cast size and share the 21 roles with more than the original 6 actors. Our expanded cast remains the only approved alteration to the script.

Playwright Eric Ulloa traveled to La Crosse for opening weekend and was part of a post show discussion with the company.

The production was a Regional Finalist for the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival. We toured the production to Indianapolis, Indiana in January 2017.

The production went on to win several national honors including our first Citizen Artists Award.
